Martial Law: But isn't it already?

Due to the Patriot Act instated by George Bush in 2001, we are not allowed to use words like "Revolution."

A point was brought up in class about Martial Law. Classmate said Americans wouldn't "roll over and take it." But I believe we already have. Because of the Patriot Act. Who do you think whisks you away? Every day people? Nope. Military. Police Enforcement. People enlisted to protect us.

By definition, martial law is "The exercise of government and control by military authorities over the civilian population of a designated territory."

Isn't that what is going on? Aren't we under control of the government in our "freedoms"? Don't you think everyone who has searched on the interwebs about anything "dangerous" or "suspicious" is now kept under an even closer watch by Big Brother?

The more technology advances, the more under lock and key we get. "It's for our own good" they say.

Well, I don't find this corrupt government to be "for my own good." The poorer keep getting poorer while the rich keep getting richer. How is this "for my own good"?

We need a change. We need to make a stand. We want "None of the Above".

The Debt versus Salary versus Homeless

This is sad.

The country is 15,916,861,108,127.38 in debt as of 07 Aug 2012 at 01:23:06 AM GMT

As of 2011, the top ten CEOs make over $29.6 million dollars a year.

Average Salary of Sports Players 2011:
NBA - $5.15 million, MLB - $3.31 million, NHL - $2.4 million, NFL - $1.9 million

647,017 homeless people are estimated to be in the United States.

It's for your own safety, part 1

Are the Americans such an ignorant people that they need a parent to watch over us? To dictate to us what our rights are? Take the seat belt laws. There are 48 states with various laws dictating that we need to wear a seat belt while driving or get fined. We get fined for not protecting ourselves. Has this nation gotten so child-like in its ability to not touch fire that we need fines for it? There is no harm to others if we don’t use a seat belt. “It’s for your own safety” is a term a parent uses for a child.
